Product: Hosting Services
Choosing web hosting is a huge and long decision, at least it was in my case. When I finally knew I wanted to buy my domain it took me about a month for figure out which host provider I wanted to go with.
I got the opportunity to review a months worth of services from SiteGround. I didn’t what to switch over hosts to do this review since I just moved everything over so I made a test site where I can test all the changes I want to make on my main site. This is very helpful so I can make sure everything looks right before it goes live so I don’t mess anything up. It was also nice that they offer a free domain with sign up.
The site was easy to navigate and gave clear instructions of how to set up or switch over your site right away. I was done signing up in under five minutes.
The photo below is what the main dashboard looks like. Your main page for finding everything you need. I’ve tried a few hosting sites and the SiteGround dashboard was very comparable to all the ones I’ve tried.
Their prices start at $3.95 a month for one site, 10GB of space, and 10,000 visits. $7.95 for multiple sites, 20GB, and 25,000 visits. Lastly $14.95 for 30GB and 100,000 visits.
The prices seem super reasonable. I pay $3.95 a month for my hosting services so this was right on point.
I haven’t had any down time in the month that I have used them. Granted, I don’t have any visitors to the test site but it does say a lot for their servers.
The only downside I notice was the limit on storage space. Most hosting companies office unlimited space no matter what monthly package you have. Although a lot of bloggers might be fine with the 10GB.
I couldn’t find anything negative that really jumped out at me. They seem to really care about keeping your site running which is the most important thing when you own a site.
*I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
