I was very interested in reading this because I have looked for more ways of having freedom from my day job especially this past year. Lisa Kroulik is the author of the book and gives her story about how she started working from home and keeps doing it through the years.
The beginning of the book really drew me in with how honest she was. She mentions how she had to go back to an office job for a while because the pay wasn’t there. Three years later she explains how she was able to go back to makes almost a full-time wage working from home.
For most of the beginning of the book she talks about the place that she made the most of her money online in 2011 and 2012.
She then goes in to a little about PayPal and selling online. I’ve sold on Ebay and a few other places for over 10 years now so that part was nothing new to me. I also used to do a lot of online paid surveys which she goes into also. I don’t do these as much now since I started blogging.
The part that was of most interest to me was the Virtual Assistant jobs. I have looked into this before but couldn’t find much about it. She gives a few websites to visit and what you can do with companies near you.
This is her second ebook so she also writes about what it takes to publish one yourself, mainly on Amazon, and how to market it once you do. I have thrown around the idea of an ebook in my head a few times before but I wouldn’t even know where to start. Her book made the thought of it a little more doable.
I enjoyed the book overall. It was a quick read because I knew some of the information already but I recommend it for anymore especially if they are just starting out learning the basics.
